Pamela is built with privacy and data security at its core. On this page, you’ll find exactly how our technology works, what it does—and doesn’t do—and how your data stays protected.
The basics
Pamela is a desktop application for macOS and soon for Windows that works seamlessly across all meeting formats—Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Slack, Discord, or even in-person.
Pamela does not join your meeting as a participating bot. Instead, she listens via system audio and your mic. You’ll automatically receive a small pop up when you start or join a meeting asking you to start it manually with one click—Pamela never records or activates automatically.
Pamela runs silently in the background, capturing audio, transcribing conversations, and generating structured notes, actions, and insights—without disrupting your meeting.
Pamela uses trusted third-party providers like OpenAI or Deepgram for transcription and summarization, depending on your settings and plan.
Model training
Pamela does not share your data with providers like OpenAI, Deepgram, or Anthropic for the purpose of model training.
By default, your data is not used for any training unless you explicitly opt in to help improve the product through anonymized feedback.
Enterprise users have model training fully disabled by default.
No stored recordings
Pamela does not store audio recordings. Transcription happens live during your meeting using temporarily cached audio.
Only transcripts and Pamela-generated notes are saved to your account.
Full control over your content
Your notes are private by default. Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it.
You can edit or delete individual transcriptions and notes at any time—or request permanent deletion of your entire account and data.
Secure by design
All data is hosted on EU-based infrastructure and fully GDPR-compliant.
Transcripts are encrypted at rest and in transit, and securely stored in our private cloud.
