Pamela offers generous unlimited usage across all paid plans to support busy professionals and teams. To ensure continued high performance for everyone, we apply a Fair Use Policy (“FUP”) across all accounts.
1. Purpose of this Policy
This Fair Use Policy exists to:
Maintain optimal service levels for all users
Prevent misuse or abuse of our platform
Protect against excessive or unintended operational costs
2. What Is Considered “Fair Use”?
Pamela is designed for real-world use by professionals in meetings — online or offline — not for 24/7 transcription or automated input. While we do not impose hard usage caps, we define fair use by reasonable daily and monthly usage patterns typical for each plan.
Typical Monthly Usage Patterns:
These are not hard limits, but reference points.
3. What Counts as Misuse?
While rare, the following may be considered unfair or abusive use:
Constantly exceeding 8+ hours of meetings daily
Attempting to transcribe automated streams, podcasts, or 24/7 audio
Excessive AskPam query generation inconsistent with professional use
Attempts to circumvent account limits or operate multiple free trials
4. How We Monitor and Enforce
We review aggregate usage to identify and address excessive usage that may impact system stability or fairness to others. If we detect unusually high or potentially abusive activity:
We may contact the user to understand the context.
We may recommend a custom plan or team upgrade.
In rare cases, we reserve the right to limit access, suspend accounts, or adjust pricing for continued misuse.
5. Commitment to Transparency
We will always:
Reach out before taking any action
Offer clear explanations and options
Work with users to find fair solutions
6. Changes to This Policy
This Fair Use Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in usage patterns, service capabilities, or pricing structures. We encourage users to review this policy regularly.
7. Questions?
Please contact privacy@trypamela.ai if you have questions about this policy or believe your usage has been flagged in error.
